If you are being offered a job with a startup division of a company, and have no dba/oracle experience my guess is you are in for a world of hurt. Run, don't walk, in the opposite direction unless you work well and learn quickly on your own without the benefit of learning from other, more experienced people. If this was the case, you wouldn't be asking a question here :-)

I am trully not kidding. Being an Oracle DBA is a full time challenge, the demands can be intense at times. When starting something completely new from the ground up, you need far more experience than walking into an established site that has everything under control.
