These could be some of the possibilities: 0. You might be failing to check the EOF in your programe. This
could be the issue.
So, one thing to do is to check that your access of your code and also see to that you are not providing a wrong username/pwd or etc. Then also check the process that gets invoked, when you start the program. Then the dirty way is to throw some message on to the console, notifying you the point of execution.
Since, you haven't specified nether the type of execution nor database version nor the platforum, of your environment, all I could do is to just shed some scenarios that I could think of. In your furture postings, pl. don't fail to include your informations, so that people who could help you can be more informed of the problem.
