Q. What 3rd party tools are available to generate test-data for SQL Server?

  1. By no means an exhaustive list, but here are some vendors and websites to check out for tools that could be used.

http://www.testbase.com

Microsoft have a couple of utilities in the SQL portion of the Back Office Resource Kit. FILLTABL.EXE is a very simplistic tool and dbgen is a bit more complex.
