Hello, hello, the original poster is working NT, not unix!

you may do this, as long as you have administrative privileges on NT, that is, you need to be member of the Administrators group on the server.

Other than that, I've seen it happening when NT got confused. Stopping and starting the services usually does the trick the - if that can be done. ELse, boot (what else is new?)
