Agreed, Sybrand -but I have slow disk subsystems!! Incidentally: how big do you tend to make your system datafile in 8 and 8i? I've found 50M for 8 is fine, but catproc in 8i has fallen over on me as a result of lack of space. I'm wondering if you've found workable (and recommendable) minima in either case.
