plb-00707 when loading plb via odbc?

hi,

i'm trying to load a wrapped package thru an odbc-query into an oracle 7.3.4. the colons are doubled so no params are mistakenly detected.

so far so good. execsql gives no error but the package cannot be compiled. pls-00707 - unsupported construct (2601).

when i look at the loaded code with toad and compare it to the original code no differences can be seen. plus33w compiles the pasted code without any complaints. toad hangs when trying to compile it...

what's going on there?
