I believe your version of Oracle is so old, that at that time jdbc didn't
even exist.
If you state you can't upgrade your version of Oracle, what is the reason
for this? You probably are aware 7.1 has been desupported several years ago,
and at the end of this year the last version of Oracle 7, 7.3.4 will be
desupported. One of way or another (provided you want to receive support)
you just *should* upgrade.
