Wont autoShutdown on NT4/Win2k

Oracle 8.x will NOT auto-shutdown on NT4/Win2k as a consequence of invoking shutdown in the Operating System, no matter what settings you put in the registry or the init.ora - You should script the shutdown in software and manually invoke that script before shutdown, just like on UNIX.
Oracle will shutdown properly on NT4/Win2k as a consequence of receiving the stop command from the Operating System. For all of you that have production Oracle Databases on NT, Hope This Helps,
