ora-12705

I've installed 8.0.5 client (NT) and when I try to connect to the DB I get ora-12705 invalid NLS_LANG parameter. I've checked the registry and all the entries for NLS_LANG are correct. Other people connect just fine with the same settings. I also checked login.sql and glogin.sql with no luck. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
