Bizarre. Service Pack 5 was infinitely more stable than service pack 4. I'm surprised your man hasn't suggested service pack 3 on the grounds that that was possibly the most stable of the lot!

In any event, as others have already posted, you'd be mad not to install Service Pack 6a.
