I dont suppose questions come any more basic than this:

What the correct sql syntax for starting a tranaction from within a
script?

I'm using ASP and I've used numerous combinations such as...."begin
transaction", "begin", "begin select * from....."

and all give me a syntax error.

Can someone please tell me what the correct systax is?
