hi DBA experts
i have successfully installed oracle 8.1.6 on mandrake linux 7.0 with
2.2.14 kernel with out any errors. iam able to open svrmgrl and connect
as internal. but startup nomount and startup open causes oracle to hang
with out any error messages.
is this shared memory segment issue. if so how and where do i set these
parameters on linux or is it some other issue.
does it require any patches it be apllied. i did not apply any patches
till now.
any help is greatly appreciated.
