I have written a simple extent tracking system. It is based on running a job that takes a snaphsot of the sys.dba_segments. This second table is then queried to produce a report like this: {edited to try to format to post screen]

OWNER     OBJ_NAME                  DATE_CHEC CHANGE_COMME  EXTENT_CT
--------- ------------------------- --------- ------------ ----------
MPOWEL01  SECURITY_REPORT           13-SEP-99                       3
MPOWEL01                            20-SEP-99 RESET                 1
MPOWEL01                            04-OCT-99                       5
MPOWEL01                            11-OCT-99 RESET                 1
<snip>
SYSTEM    DQ3_QUERY                 12-NOV-99                      59
SYSTEM                              24-NOV-99                      60
SYSTEM                              03-DEC-99                      61
SYSTEM                              16-DEC-99                      62

Item that shrink are flaged as a truncate/rebuild has occured. I have written routines to create the table, purge old data, and remove deleted objects etc... If you are interested email me and I will share.
