HELP! Installer problem

I want  to install dev 2000 report builder into my PC (running NT
4.0). However, the system displayed as follows:



Dr Watson for window NT:



An application error has occured and an application log is being
generated. ORAINST.EXE


EXCEPTION : ACCESS VIOLATION ...........


What caused installer failure ? How to overcome it ?
