You may want to upgrade to Oracle 8ir2 (8.1.6). According too Oracle many bugs were fixed in 8.1.6. This means there are many bugs in Oracle 8.1.5. I don't know if those bugs are present in the Linux version, since the Linux versions seems to be better according to some posters ;-)

We still have performance problems in 8.1.6 though.
