Over the past four years my experience with Oracle support has really been very good. Things I've pointed out have been written up as bugs. But support has to be convinced the problem is a bug and not something you're doing wrong, not an issue with the operating system, not an issue with the application, etc. Support is expensive, so if you're really not getting any help save your money. For myself the cost is fully justified.

PS Having said all that, support is probably somewhat less strong than it was six months ago. There seems to have been a lot of turnover recently and there is sometimes a bit of a language barrier trying to communicate in English.
