Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Value returned from user function
Can anyone tell me how the standard function 'user' works ? Does it just get the username from V$SESSION ?
For the duration of a session, we'd like to get 'user' to return a specific string which is not the actual username...i.e. is there a way of changing the current username for a session ?
I cannot see an obvious way of doing this...however, if anyone knows a way, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Alan
