I have just install the sqlnet8 client on my Win95.This software is a part
of a oracle8i for NT cd.
I create a service connected to a oracle 8.0.4 server in EasyConfig.When I
tested it,there is an error
'ORA-12705: invalid or unknown NLS parameter value specified',
(I know I have connected to server,because when I used a wrong user
passwd,The error msg changed to 'wrong passwd'.)
according to my experience ,When the NLS set incorrectly,I can still connect
to the server,only some characters displaied disorderly.
But I still check the NLS setting in register table.
there are two NLS_LANG in the table:
1.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SoftWARE\Oracle\ALL_HOME\ID0\NLS_LANG
2.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SoftWARE\Oracle\HOME0\NLS_LANG
I changed them to 'AMERICAN AMARICA.US7ASCII' both(I also tried
'us7ascii'''US7ASCII').
But the error is still there.
Could anybody help me to resolve this problem?
