Max datafile size

Hello.
I'd like to know wich is the max size of a datafile under Solaris 2.6 with Oracle 7.3.4 and with Oracle 8. I use raw device and i have a limit of 2G with 7.3 and 4G with 8. Have i to set a /etc/system parameters on Sun machine or what have to do ? thank in advance
