Before going down that route, I will rather try something more open and flexible such as Java servletts.
I am not keen been locked into a solution, using a product that determines and fixes the type of architecture you can use.
Unlike Oracle, where you can choose from different operating systems and vendors (and even between SMP, clustering or MPP), most (if not all) MS products lock you into a very specific Micrsosoft architecture. I would think that the same applies to MS Transaction Server.
