The sad thing is that they get so worked up over a bit of humorous flaming in comp.databases.informix.

I am sure this is just repressed worry on their part about the lack of 'market-share' or at least corporate 'mind-share' of Informix.

They certainly can't take a joke - sounds like they're worried about something anyway.

Sad really for them but such is life I suppose.

The real question is how to predict when any particular I.T. tool or OS Platform is going to become less popular.
