ummm. No :-)
Ok, maybe I can be a little more specific. I would agree, Setting up Os_authent is pretty easy and straightforward, the problem is that now the new dba must also setup a variety of access levels for one of more different user ids. While this should be basic DBA work, the reality is people will cut corners 'just to make it work'

My question originated from looking at some 'app server' apps, where 'everything' is being done as a 'single login' (That of course has other issues....)
In the event that the Vendor of the application says 'You cannot modify our software/setup' (because we are God ;-)

You are forced in to a corner, where if you touch anything they can come back with some 'excuse' that 'you broke it'
