I fired that question off when I didn't have much time to think about it.

Basically I figure I need to do several things. Measure the size of the tablespaces now, determine how much they are going to grow, and determine what the log files, and temp spaces do throughout a day. Also, we have to suggest a number of disks on which to store the datafiles (Oracle docs suggest a 'perfect' 22 disk implementation, which probably won't get much attention at our shop.

Can anybody give me some starting points (resources, queries, advice) on accumulating the information I'll need to request disk space.
