let me see if I have undertood you.
You have configured the SQL/NET on the server and it works just fine.
from client side you want to get connected to the database eg using
sqlplus.
now if this is the case you have to configuer the sqlnet on the clinet side
as well.
to do this use oracle net8 easy config.
