8I on Linix : Installer hangs

I'm trying to install Oralce 8i(8.1.5) on Red Hat Linux. I followed the instructions for a Red Hat install on Technet.

The installer starts up with out a problem but it hangs when copying the file 'dbassistRedo_log.html0'

The window that I launched the installer from seems to indicate a java error(file not found). Anyone run into this problem. The section of the log is listed below. Thanks in advance.
