Fellow Oracle8i/RedHat 'ers

i have been attempting to get Oracle 8i installed on RH 6.1... but keep getting the same error after installation (using runInst.sh) when i attempt to install the patches... and again the same error if I go ahead and try to run svrmgrl...

Note that I did use the following helpful guides I found on the web... yet I still get the error:
http://jordan.fortwayne.com/oracle/rh61-815.html http://homepages.tig.com.au/~jmsalvo/linux/oracle8i.html

The error is below. Has anyone else seen this error?

[oracle_at_lucy linux_815patches]$ ./linux_815patches.sh

You are upgrading Oracle 8i for Intel-Linux to 8.1.5.0.2

svrmgrl: error in loading shared libraries: /oracle01/app/oracle/product/8.1.5/lib/libclntsh.so.8.0: undefined symbol: nnflboot
Applying patch 8.1.5.0.1 .....done

Applying patch 8.1.5.0.2 .....done

Check the files /tmp/81501.log & /tmp/81502.log for any error(s)

Please link the Oracle Intelligent Agent executables now, as outlined in the Release Note.

[sparker_at_lucy app]$

also, when I explicitly run svrmgrl, I do get the same error (nnflboot)

Any enlightenment or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
