Thanx for your help, unfortunately your procedure was to my mind too difficult for such a simple job. I read in the original Oracle documentation and found a trick how to access the attributes of an object: You have to set an alias for the table, e.g. this way:

select dummy.telefon.vorwahl from test dummy;

where the alias is dummy.
