Authenticating with Kerberos Appends the Realm to the Username in Oracle

We are testing kerberos authentication with oracle. It works fine except that when you look at the username connected to Oracle you end up with the kerberos realm attached. The problem with this is that we have to change all the permissions, etc if we go ther kerberos route. Also there are many applications developed that won't work with the longer username field.

Has anyone else had this problem and/or know a way around it? I assume we would have to change in the future anyway if Oracle is to authenticate with W2k. Received on Tue Mar 07 2000 - 00:00:00 CST
