"Within 30 days, Oracle will begin shipping a version of its Oracle8i Release 2 database for Windows 2000. The release will take advantage of the upgraded operating system's features, including its Active Directory, installation capabilities, and support for greater amounts of memory. Oracle stated that pricing for the Oracle database will be the same on Windows 2000 as it is on Windows NT. For pricing information, please visit the Oracle Store ( http://oraclestore.oracle.com. Oracle is also expected to ship a version of Oracle8i for Windows 2000 DataCenter shortly after that product begins shipping later this year.
