Hi
I have to plan a DBMS that will have to keep voice type of data. I do not have yet numbers but I supose that the size will be hundred of Gb. Does anyone used mass storage devices like juke boxes with Oracle and can give me some information about performance issues (do/do not) type of thinks. There will be no many quieries against the database (but the data have to be available in real time so tapes are not a solution), mostly inserts but the data have to be archived and kept for a long time. Maybe someone who have experience with large BLOB management systems can give me a few ideas.
