I am currently studying RMAN for an OCP exam. I have heard rumors that
RMAN does not perform really well in real life. I am wondering if
anybody wants to shed any light on this subject. Does RMAN work
consistently as promised? Is RMAN easier to backup/recover than by
using other scripts? If you are having problems, what kind of problems
are they?

Thanks in advance for your time!
