Simple schema of phisical storage system fo Oracle RDBMS.
Controller1 - Volume1 (1 or > disks) - OS and Oracle application Controller1 - Volume2 (1 disk) - SYSTEM, TOOLS Controller1 - Volume3 (1 large disk) - TEMP Controller2 - Volume4 (1 disk) - RBS Controller2 - Volume5 (RAID 3 or 5) - DATA Controller3 - Volume6 (RAID 0) - INDX Controller3 - Volume6 (3 or more disks in RAID 1) - Online Redo Logs
This configuration is recommended by William G.Page, Jr. and Nathan Hughes in their "Using Oracle8 - Special Edition".
