how to manage forms-files .fmb or .fmt ?

We´d like to manage our Forms-files and develope dokumentation.

How to read out informations from FORM-files ( .fmb or .fmt ) into a database? How to modify it not using the Developer? does anyone know about the .fmt-file format ?
