Connect through SQLPLUS

Hey gurus,


I have a problem. I have an Oracle  box to which I can connect both
through the UNIX Telnet and through SQLPlus from my workstation. However
when I connect through the SQLPlus I get a strange behaviour in the
sense that some of the tables are not accessible. Has anybody faced this
one before ??
