Oracle Transparent Gateway for ODBC - experiences with MS Access 97?

Would like to integrate existing MS Access 97 Backends into Oracle Environment via Transparent Gateway for ODBC (mainly read only, would require heterogeneous joins between Oracle and Jet tables). Replacing the Access Backend is not an option so far; would also want to avoid replication either.

Is this doable? Any known performance/configuration issues?

Kind regards

Juergen
