Solaris & oracle :

1.Higly reliable
2.Highly scalable with increasing data growth and processing power ( CPU and DISKS ) and supports thousands of concurrent users and terabytes size database
3.Supports ORACLE PARALLEL SERVER (OPS) for 24 X 7 operation 4.Sun boxes are fault tolerant ( all parts including CPU , memory and disks are hot swapable ) and gaurantess 99.99% uptime.

NT & ORACLE : I am not sure about NT'S scalability and reliability
