Deleting Databases

Using Oracle8i on Windows NT. Tried to use the DataBase Configuration Tool to create a couple of databases. However, the process errored out before it completed and did not successfully install. Files have been created in \orant\oradata, but references don't necessarily show up in a lot of the tools. Could anyone provide any advice?
