PQO 7.3.4 under HP-UX 10.20

Does anyone know what sort of performance improvement would we expect to see by installing the Parallel Query Option under Oracle 7.3.4 on HP-UX 10.20 on a K580 with 4 processors if we do NOT rebuild any of the tables with the parallel option? Anything?

Does PQO improve performance by itself, or must we rebuild everything to get an improvement?
