Database Assistant on Red Hat 6.1

On on installation everything is fine until running Database Assistant - java/lang/threads not found. If I run the patch and retry, I get incorrent number of parameters.

If I run the assistant as recorded in the install log minus the no values option I get NLS catalog not found, but the assistant runs anyway - but ignores the dbloc parameter.

Language is default as English, character set is default too.

Any ideas?
