Oracle Server Costs???

Can someone give me an approximate cost of what it might take to license Oracle for the backend of a web application on the net?

Its real early in the game and we can go with either Oracle or SQL server but cost is a factor. My gut is to go with Oracle but I've heard Oracle is very expensive in their licensing for web apps.

Any comments would be much appreciated.
