you're looking at the around the 300-500MB range (depends on which bits of Oracle you install..)
There are plenty of Oracle installations that run on Unix that are in the 10's of TB range (maybe orders of magnitude larger) that run on unix and run fine. When you get to this level you really need to know your stuff though :-) 500MB is small, but with incorrect config it can still run really slow!
