Oracle 7.3.3 newbie config. question

I have an Oracle power objects client application installed on an Oracle 7.3.3 NT Workstation. The client application doesn't connect to the ora database (instances are running - I can access tables with sql work- sheet).
Can somebody tell me if Power Objects applications connect via ODBC or SQL Net Easy? I guess this is where I have to modify something.
If possible, I'd prefer to receive a cc: to my mail adress.
