IMO ... Oracle - Expensive, NT/Unix, Big Databases, Lots of Users, DBA required,

              Pay for Larrys New Jet
SS7 - Cheap, NT, Small To Medium Databases, Smaller # Of users,

              DBA maybe not required, Pay for new room in Bill's house
