/usr/lib/libcma.sl and Oracle on HP-UX

Anyone know what functions Oracle uses from this HP-UX shared library?

We had applied patch PHSS_19739 to our Dev/Test box which, among other stuff that seems to me to be unrelated to Oracle, replaced this file. Everything seemed great until trying to use the UTL_FILE.FFLUSH function. That would bomb with a "write_error" every time. C code written using the fflush system call worked fine! We uninstalled the patch, and that "fixed" UTL_FILE.FFLUSH. any thoughts appreciated...
