The answer is because of the bug!!! This one manifests itself in a very strange way - sometimes it will work sometimes not. I have recently worked with a parallel server config where it would consistently backup one node but not the other. Often the problem would go away by itself for a while and then return!!

If you want to fix it you can do one of two things - restart the instance in question or upgrade. I don't think its fixed at 8.0.5.1 though as we were running 8.0.5.1.1 and it was there.
