ora 1017 on ODBC

Hey guys,
I have an application which is giving me a ora-1017 when I try to access it through the web. The application gives a call to the server which in turn gives a call to the ODBC Data Source which connects to the oracle database (8i on NT SP4). It is giving me the dang error message saying (ora-1017 SQLSetConnectAttr failed). Anybody ever face this before ? Any comments,suggestions,braindumps will be appreciated.
