I'm in need of advice.

Recently, after reinstalling ORACLE 7.3.4 on AIX (RS6000) platform, I noticed that some of our SQL programs (containing spool <dir>/<file> , followed by SELECT statement , then spool off ) I tested encounter problems and terminate abnormally. The error message is: <progname> <no>: <number> Memory Fault (coredump).

What is memory fault error ? As a workaround, I edited the SPOOL <dir>/<file> command by shortening the file name. Then it works. This never happen in another server which has the same set-up.

Our server has: AIX 4.2 Operating System; ORACLE 7.3.4 RDBMS.
