Yes, the sqlnet was installed. It is installed as part of a DOD program called ABSS. I ghave looked at it, But I am not an Oracle expert and the ABSS helpdesk at Eglin AFB, do not know what the problem is either. I have pinged the host which is ABSS.andrews.af.mil, which is the server where the database is kept.
