recovery procedure

Hello,
I'm testing the recovery procedure of Oracle 7.3.4 on an NT server. I've a full online backup dated of the last night. During the next day I've to recover my database. So I restore my full backup.
recover database using controlfile until cancel then I responded AUTO to the Oracle message.

Now, I'm in the situation of the last night. But I can not find the data created during the day following the full backup.
My Oracle database is set in ARCHIVLOG mode.
