Yes I have 8i running on 6.2.  It was a bit fiddly in places but
reasonably straight forward.  As well as looking at the Oracle install
instructions I followed those on the Suse web pages.  Let me know if
you're still interested an i will dig out the address.  Try sybase ase
btw also!! :-)
